A group of us who are inspired in this exploration of IFS and nondual understandings recently created an IFS Nonduality Community Facebook group to support, celebrate and promote how this is coming together in each of our precious unique expressions. EIFS is just one of its many expressions. Below is a vision of possibilities of this collective exploration. We hope you will consider joining us in helping develop, explore and celebrate this blossoming branch of our beloved IFS model.
Dear New Friends and Colleagues,
Welcome to the IFS Nondual Community! Laura and I are excited to be your initial hosts as we all embark on this beautiful journey of co-creating a nurturing space to explore the integration of IFS and nondual understandings. Our vision is to foster a loving and effective incubator where each of us can deepen our unique expressions of IFS and nonduality and contribute to the growth of the Nondual IFS branch of our beloved IFS model.
We hope that this community not only supports our individual journeys but also contributes to the global vision of the IFS Institute. Within a year, we aim to compile a book featuring chapters from anyone who would like to share how IFS and nonduality manifest in their lives. Inspired by the wonderful new IFS book “Altogether Us” by our fellow IFS colleagues (photo attached), we invite you to contribute a chapter to this project.
As our community expands, we will organize quarterly IFS and nonduality mega workshop virtual gatherings. These events will provide multiple opportunities for anyone interested to present their ideas in 50-minute time slots. To introduce our expressions to a wider audience, we will invite the larger IFS community to attend.
Additionally, we will host regular open Getting to Know Each Other Zoom sessions to showcase your unique expression of Nondual IFS and facilitate introductions amongst our group. During these sessions, there will be six slots of 10 minutes each for presentations, followed by 30 minutes for everyone to introduce themselves and engage in meaningful conversations. Laura and I will not present during these sessions as we have ample opportunity to introduce ourselves and our expression. We are seeking presenters for the first couple Getting to Know Each Other sessions. Would you be up for leading us in a 10 minute presentation facilitation?
Furthermore, we have a shared aspiration to produce a documentary titled “IFS as a Spiritual Path to Abiding Self-Leadership.” This documentary will feature a dozen of us sharing our personal IFS stories, ideally narrated by our beloved Dick Schwartz. I have had a preliminary discussion with Dick during this year’s Costa Rica retreat, and he was enthusiastically open to further discussion of this project.
Our intention is for this community to feel like a home for all of us, where we each are celebrated and supported. While we are working on the posting procedure, please send any of your Nondual IFS event posts to either me or Laura. This way, we can highlight and promote your Nondual IFS events within the community and hopefully beyond. We have already invited everyone we know who is interested in Nondual IFS to join this Facebook group. Please help us spread the word about our community’s exploration of IFS and nonduality by sharing this post or inviting friends to check out the group. As we together co-create, we are seeking friends and colleagues to share their expression at the regular Zoom showcase sessions, at the larger quarterly gatherings, as a book chapter and as one featured in the documentary. If you’d enjoy participating in any of these venues, please let us know.
I would like to take a moment to personally express my deep gratitude to Dick, the IFS Institute, and our cherished IFS friends. They have been instrumental in my own path to healing, and it is my sincere hope that this community can serve as a platform for us to give back and contribute to the global thriving of IFS and the ever-widening applications of IFS healing and Self-Leadership.
